Definition
FLO uses only the near loop, leaving the far loop available to work into later or to sit as a raised line.
Overview
It is the standard trick for layered petals on crochet flowers: one round in the front loops, then a second round built into the loops left behind.
It also produces a softer ridge than back loop only, useful when you want texture without stiffness.
Characteristics
- Leaves a free back loop
- Enables layered rounds
- Soft surface line
Typical uses
- Layered flower petals
- Loop stitch bases
- Soft ribbing
