Definition
Cro-tatting uses a hook with a long straight shaft so that a series of double stitches can be held on the shaft and then drawn through, mimicking tatted rings and picots.
Overview
The finished lace closely resembles shuttle tatting — crisp rings, chains and picots — but is worked with a single hook, which many find quicker to learn than managing a shuttle.
It occupies a small niche, and published patterns are limited, so most practitioners adapt traditional tatting patterns.
