Definition
Merino is wool from Merino sheep, with a fine micron count that makes it soft enough for next-to-skin wear.
Overview
Its elasticity evens out tension differences and gives garments memory, so cuffs recover instead of sagging.
Untreated merino felts with heat and agitation, so hand washing is the safe default unless it is superwash treated.
