Definition
Striped crochet changes colour at the start of a row or round, so each band of colour is a complete unit of the fabric.
Overview
In rows, stripes are trivially easy; in joined rounds a colour jog appears at the join, which can be minimised by working the first stitch of the new colour as a slip stitch or by using a spiral.
Carrying colours up the side rather than cutting them saves a great many ends on a striped blanket.
