Definition
Micro crochet applies ordinary stitches at a miniature scale, typically using sewing-weight thread and steel hooks in the 0.4–0.75 mm range.
Overview
At this scale everything changes in practice: good light and magnification are essential, thread twist matters, and tension must be very consistent because a single tight stitch distorts the whole piece.
Common outputs are miniature flowers, dolls' house pieces, earrings and pendants. Work is slow — a finished miniature can take many hours despite its size.

- Hooks typically 0.4–0.75 mm
- Sewing or lace-weight thread
- Magnification and strong lighting normally required
Typical uses
- Miniatures and dolls' house pieces
