Definition
Flower stems use covered florist wire, sized by gauge, wrapped in floral tape and often sheathed in crocheted or bound green thread.
Overview
Gauge choice follows the bloom: heavy 18 gauge for a full rose head, 22 gauge for lavender and filler stems.
Wire ends must be turned back on themselves and taped, so nothing can work through the crochet over time.
Characteristics
- Gauge chosen by bloom weight
- Taped and turned ends
